SAFFARA'S SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
We work hard to ensure that our clients get a seamless, high-quality service and a delightful customer experience. Still, the entire team remains committed to engaging in various activities in the community.
Education for the girl child is close to our hearts. Saffara, through its founder, Catherine, is actively involved both at a personal level and as a member of the Board of Governors at Alliance Girls High School, in championing education for the girl child. Being an alumnus of Alliance Girls herself, Catherine wants to ensure that every single girl who is privileged enough to get that call to attend Alliance Girls High School, gets to do so whether she can afford the fees or not. Through the mentorship program known as Professionals for Alliance, Catherine has put in place an avenue where students at Alliance Girls High School have access to alumni who are high achievers in their various careers and who can advice and guide the girls in choosing the best careers that match their natural talents and passion. |
Through Saffara, Catherine ensures that several girls at Alliance benefit through various initiatives including:

The Alliance Schools' Charity Dinner Gala
The Alumni of Alliance Girls’ High School and Alliance High School held the 1st joint Alliance Schools’ fundraising gala dinner on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Villa Rosa Kempinski. The event was conceptualized, developed and implemented by the Saffara events & fundraising team pro bono. All the proceeds from this event went into the endowment funds of both schools, to benefit the extremely bright and needy students at the Alliance Schools.
Titled, “A night with African Stars Gala”, at least 450 alumni and friends of both schools were in attendance and approx. Kshs 10 million was raised. Thereafter, the gala has become an annual event which attracts successful alumni and corporates interested in securing the education of needy but brilliant students in Kenya.
